(1838 - 1894) Pretender to the French throne, head of the Legitimist Party, and a member of Union Gen. George McClellan's staff. Uncommon A.L.S. 1p. 4to., Claremond, England, May 28, 1848, written while in exile to "Your Royal Highness" in French, Louis advises: "...I have received the letter Your Royal Highness has been kind enough to write to me and which the Count de Goltz has just turned over to me. We are, the Queen and I, extremely appreciative of your kind offer to take messages to our daughter, the Queen of the Belgians; but we will not take advantage of it, since we have already dispatched our correspondence this morning. I sincerely wish you a happy and successful voyage...". Signed "Your affectionate cousin, Louis Philippe". Boldly written and very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
