NATHAN LEOPOLD. Scarce good content T.L.S. "Nate" , 1p. 4to., Santurce, Puerto Rico, Apr. 29, 1963, to celebrated New York Post writer Leonard Lyons who penned the widely-read column "The Lyons Den". Leopold discusses his memoirs of the crime, Life Plus 99 Years, in part: "...I am delighted that you have interested Julian Bach in the paperback rights...after [David] Susskind cabled me, I got into touch with Tim Seldes...Editor of Doubleday...as...it is Doubleday and not I, technically, who owns the...rights to the book. But Tim, who is a personal friend, has always been most cooperative. But this time he wrote...ÔI am delighted..that...Susskind is interested in the movie...I really think, for your sake, that negotiations should be handled by us...'. I wrote Susskind on April 21...I don't think that the British paperback will interfere...". Fine. $75-100
