1612. RUGGIERO LEONCAVALLO (1857-1919) Italian composer, best remembered for his opera Pagliacci (Players). First produced in 1892 in Milan, it has remained popular ever since. Good content A.L.S., 1p. 12mo., [n.p., n.d.] in French to "My dear friend" noting in part "...I telegraphed Mr. Duval to ask if he could postpone his dinner and I received just about the same answer! I am sorry!! Because I do not want to choose between two friends whom I love equally. I have no other choice but to deprive myself from one as well as the other and to have dinner alone!
