Description:

WILHELM KEITEL (1882 - 1946) German field marshal and army chief of staff under Adolph Hitler, convicted of war crimes and executed at Nuremburg. Fine content T.L.S. 1p. folio, Berlin, Feb. 4, 1937, to Hermann Goering, Supervisor of the Four Year Plan. In full: "For the regulation of labor deployment on armed forces construction projects I have issued the enclosed decree. In it I was guided by the thought that the decision as to what is in the interest of national defense may be made known to branches of the government, with the exception of the armed forces, only by the War Ministry of the Reich. I request that you inform the employment bureaus of this and to make sure that further data not be requested from the military bureaus... ". Trimmed slightly at left, docketed, otherwise very good. $300-400
