KARL DONITZ
(1891 - 1980) German admiral who headed the U-Boat arm of the German Navy, later succeeded Hitler as Fuehrer after Hitler's suicide. Lot of two good signed souvenir typescripts, includes Donitz's statement to his aide shortly after his surrender describing Germany's desperate condition in early May, 1945 which forced Donitz to surrender, with a copy of Donitz's letter to Himmler, May 6, 1945 in which he fires the head of the SS: "...I have decided to dispense with your further assistance...I now regard all your offices as abolished...I thank you for your service which you have given to the Reich...". Two pieces, the latter lightly toned, else very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
