(1741 - 1790) Holy Roman emperor, brother of Marie Antoinette and son of Maria Theresa who suppressed the clergy and served as Mozart's patron during the last years of his life. Manuscript L.S. 1p. folio., Vienna, Aug. 10, 1785 in German concerning the disposition of stocks of mercury in a hypothecary storehouse. In part: "... A special report is to be made to me on this subject, and at the same time also indicating at what price mercury would really stand at this place here, and at what price it was awarded to the Spanish Court in the contract struck with Greppi...". Toning at top margin, otherwise very good.
