Description:

JOSE DE SAN MARTIN
(1778 - 1850) South American political and military leader, a contemporary of Simon Bolivar, he marched his 5,000 man across the Andes to liberate Peru, Chile and Argentina. A.D.S. "Jose de Sn Martin" 1p. folio, [n.p.], Oct 24, 1820, in Spanish. Not translated, but the document appears to be an order directed to the Minister of War. Light foxing at folds, else very good.
