JOHN STARK
(1728 - 1822) American Revolution brigadier general engaged at Bunker Hill, Trenton and Princeton, winner of the battle at Bennington against Burgoyne, and served on the court-martial that condemned Major John Andre. Large, bold signature "John Stark ", cut from a document. Stark includes an additional note: "signed at the age of 86", which would place the date of signing at 1814. Affixed to a 4" x 5" backing but no show-through from adhesive, light toning and minor foxing, else very good.
