(1767-1848) Sixth President of the United States, Secretary of State under Monroe who principally formulated the Monroe Doctrine. Partly-printed D.S. as Secretary of State, 1p. 4to., Washington, Sept. 16, 1820 certifying a true copy of decision rendered by the federal mediating board adjudicating claims arising from the Yazoo Land Fraud empowered under an act "'...providing for the indemnification of certain claimants of public lands in the Mississippi territory'" Usual folds, rough margins, loss at bottom right, else good condition. Offered together with the aforementioned true copy, concerning Amasa Jackson who had purchased land from the Georgia-Mississippi Company. Toned from dampstains, separations at folds, marginal losses, else good. Together two pieces in good condition.
