Description:

JOHN F. KENNEDY ASSASSINATION PHOTOS
Outstanding lot of approx. sixty 8" x 10" first and second generation wire photos which serve as a chronicle of the events surrounding and leading up to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy with previously-unpublished images. This lot includes many of the famous images that appeared the covers of newspapers and magazines throughout the world such as: Kennedy waving from the motorcade, Jackie attempting to retrieve of piece of the President's skull on the back of the limo, Lee Harvey Oswald posing with his rifle and distributing Fair Play for Cuba handbills, John-John saluting the flag draped coffin of his father and many more. However, the true value of this lot might very well be determined by those images which are seldom encountered or were of limited distribution to the various publications! These images include diagrams outlining the Presidential motorcade, different trajectory assumptions (at the time of the assassination), alternate Warren Commission exhibit images of the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle and paper bag, Oswald's medical treatment report from Parkland Medical Center, part of the President's "supplemental" autopsy report, plus many views of the funeral procession including sad and intimate images of the President's grieving family. The photos in this lot are slightly curled, otherwise in very good condition.
