JOHN COLTRANE
(1926 - 1967) Innovative American jazz saxophone player, his first recording was with Dizzy Gillespie, with later extensive work with Johnny Hodges, Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk before forming his own ensembles to play his distinctive brand of jazz. Excessively rare original musical manuscript entirely in Coltrane's hand, 2pp. 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" in bold pencil on lined paper, his composition "Moontide", so tilted at top, with all notes indicated in his hand as well. Fine condition. Coltrane's manuscript musical material is vitually non-existent! Ex: Guernsey's, February, 2005.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
