Description:

JIMMY DURANTE
(1893 - 1980) American entertainer, a vaudeville star known for his gravelly voice, battered hat, and big "schnozz". Nice pair of two I.S.P.s each in 8" x 10" b/w format, the first a classic shot of Durante in hat looking slyly to his right, boldly inscribed at bottom left corner: "To my pal Emmett take care of yourself Jimmy Durante". The second shows Durante in side profile pose, inscribed at lower left corner: "To Milton thanks, a pleasure to have worked with you...the Shnozzle Durante". Light staining to verso, otherwise very good. Two pieces.
