JAMES THURBER
(1894 - 1961) American cartoonist and writer of numerous books, short stories, and essays. Managing editor of the New Yorker (1927-33). A superb piece of original art, a pencil drawing of a Black-American "Dining Car Steward NYNH & HRY" in white coat and bowtie, measures 5" x 7 1/2" [sight], dated March 19, 1937, and signed at bottom right. Matted and ready to frame. Fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
