Description:

JACOB BESER
(b. 1921) Radio countermeasures commander aboard the Enola Gay, which delivered the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, August 6, 1945. An interesting pair of items, two examination notebooks from his post-war schooling years and dated Dec. 18, 1947 and Apr. 8, 1948 respectively. Both books contain the answers to an exam in pencil, including numerous mathematical equations and so forth. Interestingly, both exams have been corrected and graded, with Beser earning a less-than-average "70" on each test! Both signed on the cover, very good condition.
