81. ALFRED IVERSON (1798-1873) Confederate brigadier general of the 20th North Carolina, captured George Stoneman and 500 of his cavalrymen in southern Georgia during Sherman's March to the Sea. Partly printed war-date CSA Form No. 32 & 33 signed twice "A Iverson" with rank, 1p. oblong folio, Atlanta, March 1, 1864, allocating forage for Iverson's personal horse for the first sixteen days of March, 1864. According to the request, Iverson's horse was to be allocated 192 lbs. of corn and 112 pounds of fodder for the first two weeks of the month. Document is lightly and evenly toned, with two very bold signatures. Very good to near fine condition, ideal for display. $400-600
