ISABELLA II (1830 - 1904) Queen of Spain, her rights were only maintained through the support of the army, the Cortes and the Liberals and Progressists, forced to abdicate in 1870. Scarce manuscript L.S. "Isabel" 1p. sm. folio, Madrid, Sept. 9, 1831, in Spanish to Ferdinand II, King of Two Sicilies, announcing the birth of her niece. In part: "...I am truly please to inform Your Majesty that my dear and beloved sister the Most Serene Infanta, Dona Maria Luisa Fernanda...on the 28th of this past month happily brought forth in Seville, a Princess...Maria Amalia Luisa Enriqueta...". Signed in her tiny hand, near fine condition.
