HYMAN G. RICKOVER
(1900 - 1986) American admiral responsible for the construction of the "Nuclear Navy", starting with the submarine Nautilus. T.L.S. 1p. 4to., on U.S.S. Jack letterhead, "At Sea North Atlantic", Jan. 9, 1967 to Rep. John E. Moss updating him on the "...first sea trials of the USS JACK (SSN605), our twenty-seventh attack type nuclear submarine...built by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard...When all nuclear submarines presently authorized by Congress are completed, the United States will have a nuclear submarine fleet of forty-one Polaris and sixty-two attack submarines, and a small submarine capable of exploring the ocean bottom...". Fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
