1102. HEINRICH HIMMLER (1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremberg. Fine content race-related typed D.S. "H. Himmler" in his usual green indelible marker, 1p. large 4to., [n.p., likely Berlin], May 1, 1939, a "Memorandum" demonstrating Himmler's devotion to the location of authentic sources of his "Aryan" background, a search to which he devoted enormous amounts of money. In part: "...I'm going to record what I know about the tribe of the Varini: The Varini were probably settled in close proximity to the Angles in Schleswig Holstein...Another branch migrated with the Angles and Saxons to Britain...The Varini settled along the Thames...In the series titled 'Volk Rights'...there is a book titled The Volk Rights of the Varini...called the Thuringians...Another branch had apparently been driven off to Bavaria...It is remarkable that lynch justice which is without a doubt a remnant of Vehmic law [a form of secret tribunal], continued here the longest...Varini were to be found in eastern Europe...among the tribes that ruled Russia as far as the Urals after the new era [A.D.]...I request that you follow up on this information and support it with scientific material...".
