HERBERT GEORGE WELLS
(1866 - 1946) English novelist whose fantastic science fiction novels foresaw inventions devised many year later. His works include The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine and The Invisible Man. A.L.S. 2pp. 12mo., Spade House, Sandgate, Dec. 29, 1904 writing to a lady on his correspondence card, in part:,"...shall love one of [?] 'wings' in book form. I thank you very much for telling me. I've meant to look you up several times when I have been at large in London. I hadn't your address. The thing will happen surely. A happy New Year...". Minor tape remains to top margin of verso, otherwise very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
