(1841 - 1904) British journalist and explorer who discovered Dr. Livingstone at Ujiji. A fine grouping of signatures on an octavo sheet, includes Stanley, his wife DOROTHY STANLEY, GERTRUDE TENNAT, a relative of Stanley's wife, explorer/author ARTHUR J. MOUNTENEY-JEPHSON, author CHARLES HAMILTON AIDE, lecture manager JAMES B. POND and his wife, and CAMILLE COQUELIN. Sold with a scarce "Authorized Souvenir Program", 20pp. 4to., 1890, promoting Stanley's lecture series and picturing him several times within. Signature page is very good, cover of program bears a few trivial chips.
