Description:

A rare, very early document, Heinrich Himmler's personal "Ueberweisungs-nationale", a temporary military-issued pass in booklet form much like a "wehrpass", used by him during transfers. The 24pp. 12.mo. pass was issued in Regensburg, June 23, 1919. On the cover, the book is issued to "Fahnenjunker Heinrich Himmler" with a "2nd Infantry Regiment Reserve Battn., 4th Company" stamp. His personal details appear on the first page, including birth place and date, religion, marital status, service entry date (Jan. 2, 1918), etc. He is shown as being dismissed on Dec. 18, 1918 at Landshut. His military education is listed, including training with a Gewehr 98, and his receipt of "shooting spectacles". The last page bears a large fold, out extract of a muster roll concerning Himmler's service. It includes his name, rank, address, religion, parents' names, his lack of awards and battle experience, and other routine details. While Himmler was still in training, the war ended with Germany's defeat, denying him the opportunity to become an officer or see combat, as his brother Gebhardt.
