Description:

HEINRICH HIMMLER (1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the SS and Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremburg. Fine association and content T.L.S. "H. Himmler", 1p. 4to., Berlin, March 9, 1936, to THEODOR EICKE (1892-1943), commandant of the Dachau concentration camp and later the Inspector of Concentration Camps. In full: I have heard that SS-Standartenfuhrer [Karl] d'Angelo has quite a lot of debts that are somewhat questionable, and some unsettled business matters. D'Angelo has given me a signed report on his debts and money, his interests and his ownership". Himmler signs at the conclusion in black ink. Shows file holes at the left margin and a paper clip marks with slight stains at top left, else very good. KARL D'ANGELO (1890-1945) served as second-in-command at Dachau from February of 1935 until he was sacked by Eicke on April 24, 1936 due to his excessive leniency and apathy towards his duties, as well as the questionable finances mentioned here.
