GROVER CLEVELAND
(1837 - 1908) 22nd and 24th President of the United States, supported civil service and fiscal reform. Good content A.E.S. at the conclusion of an A.L.S. of lecturer ADDISON ALLEN 1p. 4to., New York, Jan. 10, 1903, to Cleveland asking his "...opinion on the immortality of the soul and to define your feeling toward death. Shall we believe with Mohammed that Immortality is certain or shall we say with Job 'as the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away, so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more'?..." At the bottom, Cleveland remarks: "Of course I believe in the immortality of the soul[.] Grover Cleveland" Usual folds, else fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
