GIAN FRANCESCO MALIPIERO
(1882-1973) Italian composer and musicologist. Scarce signature and sentiment boldly penned on an 8vo. page, from the premiere of his one-act drama Il mistero del Venezia" at the Coburg Landestheater on Dec. 14, 1932, in full: "In ricordo del mistero di Venezia G. Francesco Malipiero Coburg, 15 XII 1932". On verso is the signature of Dutch conductor HENRI VAN GOUDOEVER (1898-1977). From the collection of Lore Hirsch, psychologist and the author of a Holocaust memoir who carried a collection of musical autographs as she escaped with her family to Argentina and then to New York in 1938. Light toning to edges, very good condition.
