428. GETTYSBURG DEVIL'S DEN RELIC CANE A fine relic from the Gettysburg battlefield, a 35" pyro-designed cane with A 5" bark-covered crooked handle at top, bearing a burned-in description: "DEVIL'S DEN" near the top with the symbols of the various corps also shown. This cane was likely carved by a veteran on the battlefield as a souvenir, ca. 1880's. Very good to fine. Devil's Den was the scene of heavy fighting on the second day of the battle. $250-350
