Description:

GERMAN DIPLOMATIC OFFICER'S VISOR CAP
Very rare German Diplomatic Officer's visor cap, field gray body with black side band. Braided silver wire officer's piping at the top and bottom of the side band and top of the upper body is perfectly spliced where ends meet. a 5 in. wide silver bullion eagle and swastika emblem is hand-sewn to the front of the cap, with matching silver bullion oak leaf wreath and cockade. The black visor vulcanfibre visor is in fine condition, and there are two two metal chin cords with pebbled buttons securing them to the cap. The cords are only very slightly loose. Within, the cap has a brown perforated sweatband completely intact. The cap is lined in a ribbed beige satin on the sides, and in matching flay satin on the top. A diamond-shaped sweat shield sewn within is completely intact, though there is a bit of sweat staining within. Just a few trivial moth nips along seams, two light stains on top, else this very rare visor cap is in excellent condition.
