GEORGE SANTAYANA AND OTHER AUTHORS
A fine group of three literary autographs along with two heads of states, includes: GEORGE SANTAYANA (1863-1952) Philosopher, essayist, poet, and novelist; best known for his oft-quoted "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it", fine S.P. 5" x 7" sepia, a head and shoulders portrait signed at bottom blank margin: "Taken in 1932 G. Santayana Rome, 1938". A couple of negligible creases, else very good. Along with a S.P. of NORMAN MAILER in 5" x 7" format, and another of JOHN GALSWORTHY, a 3 1/2" x 6 1/4" printed image, signed beneath. Additionally includes: KONRAD ADENAUER(1876-1967) First Chancellor of post- war West Germany, serving in that capacity from 1949 to 1963, S.P. 4" x 6" b/w, a head and shoulders image signed at bottom blank margin; and South African leader DESMOND TUTU, signature on a card. Five pieces, very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
