Description:

FRANZ BOEHME (1885-1947) Austrian General in the Wehrmacht during World War II, commanded XVIII Mountain Corps, commanding general in the Balkans, and commander-in-chief in German-occupied Norway. Boehme stood trial in Nuremberg and later committed suicide in prison. Good grouping of 17 letters, documents, invitations, etc. sent to Boehme. Includes a letter from the burgermeister's office at Brandenburg, July 19, 1940 sending congratulations for his award of the Knight's Cross; two typed documents from the NSDAP and NSV, Salzburg, October and November 1942, bringing local news for Salzburg party members serving at the front; a typed letter from Ortsgruppenleiter Mosel of the NSDAP, Salzburg, to Boehme, thanking him for the congratulations on being awarded the Blood Order Medal; a typed letter from Ortsgruppenleiter Mosel of the NSDAP, Salzburg, to Boehme, thanking him for the photograph to be displayed in the NSDAP office; a signed Christmas greetings card from the Commander of the 82nd Mountain Pioneer Battalion; signed greeting card from four members of staff of GI (ops) to Boehme congratulating him on the award of the Knights Cross; a printed invitation to the Reich Party Day of 1938 at the Mitropa-dorf in Nurnberg; hand-written invitation from the Squadron Commander of 2.(H)/14 for Boehme to attend a dinner on 16th July 1940; signed by the Commander. Together with four signatures from military documents, including the signatures of Colonel Walter Uhrhahn, Colonel Metz and Colonel Helmuth Schultze; a rare British P.O.W. Information Sheet, Jan. 6, 1942, completed in German by Major Wilhelm von Gradl at Alexandria POW Camp, Overall very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
