Included is: award document for the Air Gunner Badge, 1p. 4to., Nov. 18, 1940, stamped signature; award for the Iron Cross, 2nd Class, 1p. 8vo., May 5, 1941 signed by Gen. WOLFRAM VON RICHTOFEN (1895-1945), an ace of World War I and a general and field marshal during World War II, died while held in captivity by American forces; award certificate Flight Clasp for Combat Pilots in Bronze, 1p. 8vo., June 9, 1941; award certificate for the Bulgarian "Adler" aviator badge as a member of 3./L.G.1, June 1941; award certificate for the Iron Cross, 1st Class, 1p. 8vo., Aug. 4, 1941, signed by Gen. HANS GEISLER (1891-1966) General der Flieger, commander of Fliegerkorps X who used his background as a sailor to specialize in anti-shipping aerial operations. A Knights Cross recipient; award certificate Flight Clasp for Combat Pilots in Silver, 1p. 8vo., Dec. 25, 1941; document recognizing Elbe's 100th enemy operation, a twilight attack on the airfield Sidi Bu Ahmud at Tobruk, Jan. 10, 1942; award certificate Flight Clasp for Combat Pilots in Gold, 1p. 8vo., Feb. 2, 1942; typed Provisional Certificate for the Wound Badge in Black, 1p. 8vo., Apr. 27, 1942; congratulatory telegram from Field Marshal ALBERT KESSELRING for the award of the Honor Goblet for special achievement in the air war, Nov. 13, 1942; award certificate the Spange to the Flight Clasp for Combat Pilots, 1p. 8vo., May 25, 1943; award certificate for the "Kreta" cuff title, 1p. 8vo., with printed von Richtoffen signature; and Elbe's Luftwaffe-issued air gunner's certificate ("Luftwaffenbordschützenschein"), photo missing, issued Warsaw, Aug. 31, 1940 Ausb.-Group II of the Gr. Kampffl.-School 3. Overall very good to fine. An extensive grouping from a very highly-decorated fighter pilot.
