Rare signed book, the classic children's tale Bambi, 30pp. 8 1/2" x 11", Simon and Schuster, New York, 1941 (the year before the film was released), boldly inscribed in black indelible pencil on the light green front flyleaf: "To Phyllis Dobson, This is the book I promised you so you now know I'm a man of my word. Best wishes, Walt Disney 1941" . The inscribed page bears a small rubbed area beneath the writing and an erasure at upper-right, lacking spine with a chip to the image on the front cover and some wear and bumped corners consistent with age, yet overall very good with the best inscription we've seen!
