A fine group of sixteen items in various formats includes: BENIAMINO GIGLI, autograph note (unsigned) on his personal calling card. Dated 1954, with original transmittal envelope; LADY BANCROFT [Marie Effie Wilton], two A.Ls.S. from 1880, an assessment of a young actress by the English stage star; MATHILDE MARCHESI, A.L.S. 1904, from the acclaimed voice teacher to the director of an opera company regarding a performance; LEONARD WARREN, signature on the cover of his performance at the Sacramento Auditorium, Mar. 4, 1953; MARIA JERITZA, S.P. a postcard image of the star boldly signed at bottom. Heavy mounting traces to verso; ETHEL LEGINSKA, rare A.L.S. by the pianist on verso of a postcard from Vienna mentioning a concert; baritoneENZO MASCHERINI, two items, the first a signed page from a program from a 1947 performance of Rigoletto in Philadelphia additionally signed by cast members EUGENE CONLEY, UGO NOVELLI and HILDE REGGIANI. Together with a S.P. 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" sepia, showing Mascherini in role; JOHN O'HARE, a simply hilarious Pach Bros. cabinet card showing the Garrick Theatre manager literally with hair on end, signed at bottom; ROBERTA PETERS, two S.Ps. 8" x 10" b/w, both mounted to cardboard; MONSERRAT CABALLE, S.P. 8" x 10" b/w, boldly inscribed and signed adding date 1979, mounted to cardboard; ITALO TAJO, S.P. 8" x 10" b/w, boldly inscribed and signed adding date 1978, mounted to cardboard, and more. Overall good to very good condition, a nice dealer's lot.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
