53. COLONIAL CURRENCY A great pair of printed Colonial currency notes, the first a New York two-pound note issued on Feb. 16, 1771 signed by W. Franklin. The second is a Georgia two-dollar Continental note issued June 8, 1777, signed by R. Wylly, E. Langworth and Joseph Wood. New York fine while the Georgia note is sold as is with some paper loss and tape repairs on verso, else very good. $75-100
