(b. 1934) Drifter whose "family" committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. Fine content D.S. signed twice, 2pp. 4to., Corcoran State Prison, Ca., June 18, 1996. Manson signs an original "Inmate/Parolee Appeal Form", in which he attests that on April 5, 1995 the prison staff had taken from him "two (2) classical guitars valued at $272.00" which had yet to be returned to him. He further states that he had a lawful right to possess the guitars. At bottom, a corrections officer notes that Manson's appeal had been denied, and that "new information" attained following talks with Manson had brought about his agreement to withdraw the appeal. Signed by Manson on the date of execution of the appeal, and again at a later date. File holes, else fine. His music was, and remains, a prime motivator in Manson's life and contrary to belief, may have incited the murders.
