Description:

Charles Manson's photocopy of the complete contents of printed book "The Swastika" by Nigel Pennick, 8pp. 4to., published in England in 1980. Pennick (born 1946) also published on occultism, magic, natural magic, divination, subterranea, rural folk customs, traditional performance and Celtic art. The text explores the history of the ancient symbol which far predated the Nazis' use, and the symbol was adopted by Manson and his "family" members to the point where they carved the symbol between their eyes and employed it in their signatures and writings. Manson's copy includes his addition of a Nazi flag with mobile swastika on page three. Cover soiled and stained, else very good. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote "Manson in His Own Words". A part of the plastic bag which contained the booklet and which reads "MASONS [sic] SWASTIKA BOOK" in Emmons' hand is included.
