CHARLES A. LINDBERGH(1902-1974) American aviator who, in his "Spirit of St. Louis", was the first to fly solo non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean. T.L.S. signed with initials "C.A.L.", 1p. 4to., Scotts Cove, Aug. 14, 1966, to his personal secretary in Darien, CT, Jean Saunders, in part: "...Please watch carefully for any mail addressed to Scott. One of his letters from Cambridge was in the stacks of letters to me...it could be very serious if a letter in regard to his Cambridge courses or in regard to his draft status were delayed. Scott will be back in Scotts Cove in the near future...". Signed in pencil, with original transmittal envelope, fine condition.
