He writes in part: "...all the news we have at present is that the British Army is gone towards Philadelphia, the fleet is sailed out of the [Sandy] Hook, to the amount of 200 Sail, this Account, was brought by Erasmus Williamson, from New York, which he left last Tuesday...Genl. Washington's Army are moving Southward, he has ordered Genl. Sterling's & Sullivan's divisions over the [Hudson] river again... " With integral address leaf.
