BEATRIX POTTER
(1866 - 1943) English writer and illustrator of children's books, creator of the charming characters Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin and Mrs. Tiggy Winkle. Scarce signed book, her beloved children's story The Tale of Mr. Tod (London: F. Warne & Co., 1912), 94pp. 12mo. hardbound, inscribed to a family member on the frontis page illustrated with Potter's most famous characters, including Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, and so forth. In full: "With love and best wishes to Tess on her Birthday from Beatrice 1920". Lovingly worn, with spine mostly detached and chipped with significant loss, corners bumped and rubbed, inscription page and contents clean.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
