[ Autographs ] (Soldier's Voting Envelope) D.S. Weston, West Va., Oct. 27, 1864, an envelope in which a soldier of the 21st N.Y. Cav. sends his absentee vote for the 1864 presidential election. On the outside of the envelope, the voter has filled out a partly printed oath stating that he is a resident of New York therefore entitled to cast his absentee ballot. Tears on the left side of the envelope affect several words of the pre-printed oath, otherwise very good.
