[ Autograph ] Franklin D. Roosevelt Very important partly-printed D.S. "Franklin D. Roosevelt' as Presidential Nominee, lp. 9in x 4in, Jackson Co., Nov. 4, 1932 to the County Clerk. Just days before his election as President, Roosevelt signs an official election document reading in part: '...I hereby acknowledge receipt by registered mail, of proof copy of ballot containing my name as candidate for the office of President of the US. of the Democratic Party, for use at the General Election to be held on the 8th day of Nov., 1932, and I hereby certify that my name is correctly placed on said ballot... " According to the Public Acts Law of 1925, candidates were required tobe sent a proof ballot at their last known address to certify that the name is properly printed thereon. Slight fading to Roosevelt's signature, with a clean 1/4in tear above signature, otherwise fine.
