ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE
(1859 - 1930) English author and spiritualist remembered for his creation of the immortal Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Watson. A.L.S. 1p. 8vo., Sussex, Nov. 14, [n.y. but likely 1917], to Mrs. Auley, in part: "...Very many thanks. I will return it soon. It must be a relief to your mind to have the General out of the fight - if even for a short time. I heard that the 4th Division had gone en bloc to Serbia. Probably a mere rumour...". With original holograph envelope, very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
