(1865 - 1936) Russian composer who studied under Rimsky-Korsakov and Liszt, he wrote eight symphonies, ballets, piano pieces and a symphonic poem. Fine and scarce A.M.Q.S. penned on a 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" sheet, three measures from a composition boldly penned and signed beneath adding date Aug. 20, 1910. Appears to have been taken from a letter and bit irregularly trimmed at top affecting nothing. A most attractive example, fine condition.
