ALBERT SCHWEITZER (1875 - 1965) French physician and theologian, a specialist in tropical medicine. Nice content A.L.S. signed twice "Albert Schweitzer", 1p. oblong 8vo., Konigsfeld, Germany, [n.d. but ca. 1921], in French to his translator, likely C. T. Campion, he part: "...This is to let you know that I am currently at home for 10 weeks. After this I will be traveling again. It would be very convenient if you could start translating 'On the Edge of the Primeval Forest' presently, so I can correct the proof leisurely. I don't like to do so while traveling...". Schweitzer spent very little time at his house in Germany, which was built in the Black Forest for his wife as an alternative to Africa after the birth of their daughter in 1919. Near fine.
