ALBERT SCHWEITZERFine content A.L.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., [n.p., n.d. c. 1952] to a Mr. Miller in Paris in French noting that it will be impossible to make travel plans at the moment and expressing his hopes for peace, in part: "...Individuals should and must try with all modesty and humility to continue in this new spirit... I think possibly that my idea of a profound respect for life and a verification of morality could have this effect...". He also comments that the monies from his 1952 Nobel Prize will be used toward his hospital. Paperclip mark at upper left, small chip at bottom margin, otherwise fine condition. With portion of original transmittal envelope addressed in his hand.
