ALBERT KESSELRING
(1885 - 1960) Field Marshal in the Luftwaffe, tried for war crimes. His death sentence commuted due to ill health. Brief A.L.S., 1p. 4to., Bad Wiessee, Sept. 27, 1955, in German on airmail letterhead to his stepson in Irvington, NJ, not translated. Boldly signed "Kesselring" in blue-black ink on both sides. A small section cut from return address not affecting signature, very good.
