Description:

ADOLF HITLER
Rare association of names, an A.N.S. of Hitler penned on the verso of a color postcard promoting an NSDAP rally at Nuremburg, mailed from Nuremburg, 1936, in full: "Concerned greetings, Adolf Hitler". Above Hitler's message appears a four-line note "Ph[ilipp]", written by PHILIPP BOUHLER (1899-1945). Bouhler would become head of Hitler's Chancellery and leader of the euthanasia programme, the so-called Aktion T4. He writes in full: "Dear Helli! Today, just brief and warm greetings, more tomorrow". Bouhler also writes his full last name in the address panel of the postcard. Light soiling, else very good to fine. Bouhler supervised the development and implementation of the Nazi's early euthanasia program in which mentally ill and physically handicapped people were murdered. Various methods of killing were tried out, and the knowledge gained from the program was later applied to the industrialized annihilation of millions of innocents. Just as their master did, Bouhler and wife committed suicide at war's end. A rare association of concentrated evil.
