425. .577 CAL. ENGLISH ENFIELD PATTERN CARTRIDGE Rare Civil War cartridge, a .577 cal. Enfield-pattern cartridge fabricated by Ludlow Bros., Birmingham, England, which were sold in soft packages of ten cartridges and packaged without percussion caps. This cartridge, bearing 2 1/2 grams of powder and a waxed, sealed end, bears the makers label and is in pristine condition. Sold with a color copy of the original paper wrapper. $200-300
