Very interesting World War I-date aircraft identification poster, 34.25 x 41.5 in., titled "Public Warning" and featuring copy encouraging British citizens to familiarize themselves with the appearance of German and British aircraft. Below this appears the silhouettes of numerous airships and airplanes, including the German Zeppelin, "Taube" monoplanes, and "Aviatik" biplanes, as well as British aircraft produced by Short, Sopwith, Bristol and Avro, among others. A publishing information box at bottom center indicates that the poster was printed by Sir Joseph Causton & Sons, Ltd. of London, under the authority of His Majesty's Stationery Office, with the date "1915". Shows a few small tears to the edges, some repaired on the verso with cello tape, else very good.
