Included is: S.P. 8 x 10 in. b/w showing the Enola Gay landing, signed by Pilot PAUL TIBBETS, Navigator THOEDORE VAN KIRK, Radio Operator RICHARD NELSON and Weapon Test Officer MORRIS JEPPSON; a 1981 first day post cover signed bt Co-Pilot BOB LEWIS; a 1996 check signed by Bombardier THOMAS W. FEREBEE made out to his wife an thus signing his name twice; a 1981 first day cover signed by Radar Operator JOSEPH STIBORIK; a rare signature of Flight Engineer WYATT DUZENBURY; S.P., 7 x 9 in. b/w of Tail Gunner GEORGE CARON, along with an A.L..S, 2pp. 8vo., 1993 mentioning signed photos and his advancing age; S.P., 8 x 10 in. b/w of Radar Operator JACOB BESER who flew on both atomic missions; AND signed check of Weapon Test Offcier MORRIS JEPPSON. Items signed by those on Hiroshima support missions include: "STRAIGHT FLUSH" (Hiroshima weather recon) crew signed photo, 5 x 7 in., signed by Pilot IRA WEATHERLY, Navigator FRANCIS THORNHILL, Scanner JACK BIVANS, Flight Engineer EUGENE GRENNAN, and Tail Gunner GILLON NICELEY; "BIG STINK" (back-up for Enola Gay), 5 x 7 in. crew photo signed by Pilot JACOB BONTEKOE, Navigator JACK WIDOWSKY, Flight Engineer GEORGE COHEN, and Asst. Flight Engr. DONALD COLE; "NECESSARY EVIL" (high-speed photograph), signed 1996 check of Engineer JAMES CORLISS who also flew on the Nagasaki mission; "FULL HOUSE" (weather recon over tertiary target Nagasaki), 1p. 4to. copy of flight record of Co-Pilot RAYMOND BIEL, signed by him, additionally signed by Scanner RICHARD ANSELME and Radar Operator NAT BURGWYN; and "JABIT III" (weather recon over secondary target Kokura), 5 x 7 in. photo of the nose of a B-29 signed by Pilot ELLSWORTH CARRINGTON, Bombardier PAUL GRUNING, Engineer JAMES DAVIS, Radioman GLEN FLOWEREE, and ground crew members KEN BAXTER and CHARLES BAKER. A superb grouping with some very rare names.
