Scarce and interesting World War I-era poster, 18.5 x 12 in., released by the American Committee for Relief in the Near East (ACRNE), which was founded in 1915 to provide humanitarian relief to the Armenian and Assyrian genocides then being committed by the Ottoman Empire, and which expanded to provide aid across the Middle East following the collapse of that empire at the end of World War I. The poster depicts an Armenian refugee woman and child among ruins, beneath the slogan "Lest They Perish". A publishing line at bottom left identifies the printer as Conwell Graphic Companies of New York. Very good.
