A collection of documents from the Indian and Oklahoma Territories including three summonses issued to the U.S. Marshal in 1903 concerning a man named Mose Brenner who "Rob[bed] one Joe Laughton of $65". Offered together with four pages of manuscript depositions signed by several witnesses including describing the theft. One witness recalled, "...On that same day there was a darkey in [illeg.] when I first saw him I thought I recognized of him, he walked on down to where I was at the first claimed he was following a stolen mare wanted me to give him something to eat. He was a short heavy set, thick built, dark complexion darky full breasted. I don't see that man in court room - Defendant is not the man. I said it was a Brumer negro that was there..."
